1. Overview
These Terms and Conditions apply to services provided by DeeCluttered, operated by Davina Atalay.
By booking or using DeeCluttered services, you agree to these terms.
DeeCluttered provides practical, supportive and non-judgemental home organising, decluttering, business support and wardrobe resale services.
2. Services Provided
DeeCluttered offers personalised services, which may be delivered in person or virtually.
Services may include:
- Home organising
- Decluttering and sorting
- Wardrobe organisation
- Room and storage organisation
- Space planning
- Storage solutions and practical systems
- Functional layout improvements
- Home office organisation
- Paperwork and filing support
- Business organisation and admin support
- Moving home preparation and unpacking support
- Wardrobe resale support, where agreed
The exact service, scope and approach will be discussed and agreed before work begins.
3. Service Limitations
DeeCluttered does not provide:
- Deep cleaning
- Specialist cleaning
- Heavy lifting beyond reasonable household items
- Electrical, plumbing, building or specialist trade work
- Pest control
- Professional valuations
- Legal, financial or medical advice
- Waste removal or disposal services as standard
Light surface wiping may be carried out as part of organising where practical, but this does not replace a cleaning service.
4. Consultation
A free initial consultation is offered to understand your needs and recommend the most suitable service.
This may include discussing:
- Your space
- Your goals
- Priority areas
- Session length
- Pricing
- Access requirements
- Any deadlines or specific concerns
A tailored plan or agreed approach will be confirmed before work begins.
5. Bookings
Bookings are confirmed once:
- The scope of work has been agreed
- The session date and time have been arranged
- Payment arrangements, including any deposit where applicable, have been confirmed
Dates remain provisional until confirmed by DeeCluttered.
DeeCluttered reserves the right to decline a booking if the request falls outside the services offered or if the working environment is unsuitable or unsafe.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the space, items and requirements
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the property
- Be available to make decisions where needed
- Clearly identify items to keep, donate, sell, recycle or dispose of
- Inform DeeCluttered of any hazards, access issues, pets, parking restrictions or relevant household circumstances before the session
- Ensure they have permission to allow work to take place in the property
You are not required to tidy before a session. It is helpful to see the space as it is, so practical systems can be created around your real routine.
All final decisions regarding belongings remain the client’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
7. Property Access and Authority
The client confirms that they have permission to allow DeeCluttered to work within the property.
DeeCluttered is not responsible for disputes relating to shared ownership of belongings, property access or decisions made by the client.
If more than one person has an interest in the belongings being sorted, it is the client’s responsibility to obtain any necessary permission before items are removed, donated, sold or disposed of.
8. Home Organising, Decluttering and Business Support Pricing
Home organising, decluttering and business support services may be charged by the hour, as a half-day session or as a full-day session.
Current pricing is:
| Service Option | Time Included | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Hourly Support | 1 Hour | £40 |
| Half-Day Focus Session | 3 Hours | £110 |
| Full-Day Reset Session | 6 Hours | £200 |
Additional time may be added where agreed and subject to availability.
Any additional costs will be discussed separately. These may include:
- Storage products
- Labels, baskets, boxes or containers
- Parking
- Congestion or toll charges
- Rubbish removal
- Donation drop-offs
- Postage
- Travel outside the included area
Discounts or package pricing may be offered at DeeCluttered’s discretion.
9. Travel
Travel within 15 miles of NN4 9YW is included unless otherwise agreed.
Travel beyond this area may be available by arrangement, with mileage or travel costs agreed before booking.
Any travel charges will be discussed before the booking is confirmed.
10. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be agreed before work begins.
Invoices are typically payable within 48 hours unless otherwise agreed.
Late payment may result in:
- Suspension of services
- Cancellation of future bookings
- Additional recovery costs where permitted by law
Any deposit, if required, will be confirmed at the time of booking.
11. Cancellations and Rescheduling
At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session.
Late cancellations may incur a fee to cover time reserved, preparation and any costs already incurred.
Repeated cancellations or missed appointments may result in refusal of future bookings.
DeeCluttered may reschedule due to illness, emergencies, severe weather, transport disruption or other unforeseen circumstances.
12. Consumer Cancellation Rights
Where applicable, clients may have a 14 day cooling off period for services booked online, by phone, by email or away from business premises.
If you ask DeeCluttered to begin work during this 14 day period, you agree that you may be charged for any services already provided up to the point of cancellation.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
13. Client Presence During Sessions
Clients are encouraged to be present during decluttering sessions, as decisions are often required.
DeeCluttered may work independently if this has been agreed in advance and clear instructions have been provided.
For organising only, DeeCluttered may be able to continue without the client present, provided the scope has been agreed.
14. Wardrobe Resale Services
Where wardrobe resale support is agreed, services may include:
- Reviewing items for resale suitability
- Steaming or ironing and preparing clothing for photographs
- Measuring items
- Taking photographs
- Creating listings
- Using AI images where suitable to support presentation
- Pricing guidance
- Managing buyer messages and offers
- Packing and posting sold items
- Including a small buyer gift, such as sweets, where appropriate
Wardrobe resale is a commission-based service. There is no hourly rate for resale work.
There is no charge for the time spent sorting, preparing, photographing, listing, managing, packing or posting items. Instead, the service works on a simple 50% commission basis, meaning payment is only taken once items sell.
| Service | Cost |
|---|---|
| Resale Commission | 50% of final sale price |
| Items Selling Under £5 | £1 handling fee per item |
Items sold under £5 include a small £1 handling fee, as lower-value items still require time to prepare, list, package and post. Where suitable, lower-value items may be grouped or bundled to help support resale.
Commission is taken from the final sale price once the item has sold and funds have cleared. The remaining balance is paid to the client.
Items are not guaranteed to sell. Sale value depends on brand, condition, demand, seasonality, platform activity and buyer interest.
DeeCluttered retains discretion over pricing, reasonable offers, reductions, bundle discounts and resale platforms unless otherwise agreed.
Bundle discounts of up to 15% off listed price may be offered across selected platforms to help encourage sales. These bundles may include your items alongside items from other sellers where appropriate.
15. Resale Item Requirements
For wardrobe resale, clients agree that all items provided must be:
- Washed before collection or drop-off
- In excellent resale condition
- Free from stains, damage, heavy wear and strong odours
- Complete with a visible care label
- Lawful and suitable for resale
DeeCluttered focuses on good-quality, in-demand high street and premium brands.
A minimum of 25 items per collection or drop-off applies unless otherwise agreed.
DeeCluttered may decline items that are unlikely to sell or unsuitable for resale.
Where appropriate, DeeCluttered may discuss return, collection, donation or further reductions with the client.
If resale support is part of a wider wardrobe revamp, DeeCluttered can help the client make decisions about what to keep, sell, donate or remove.
16. Storage of Resale Items
Items may be temporarily stored by DeeCluttered for resale purposes.
Reasonable care will be taken, but DeeCluttered is not liable for loss, theft, damage or events beyond reasonable control unless caused by negligence.
This is not a long term storage service.
Stored resale items are not fully insured.
17. Unsold Resale Items
Wardrobe resale items are usually listed and managed for up to 8 weeks unless otherwise agreed.
After 8 weeks, unsold items will be reviewed with the client. Options may include:
- Collection by the client
- Delivery back to the client, with travel costs agreed in advance
- Postal return, charged at cost
- Donation, with written consent only
- Further reductions to help items sell
DeeCluttered will not donate, dispose of or permanently remove unsold items without the client’s agreement.
18. Donations, Recycling and Disposal
DeeCluttered can help sort items into categories such as keep, sell, donate, recycle or dispose of.
Donation drop offs, rubbish removal, recycling runs and tip runs are not included as standard unless agreed in advance.
DeeCluttered will not donate, dispose of or remove belongings permanently without the client’s permission.
Specialist waste, hazardous materials or large volume disposal must be arranged separately by the client.
19. Storage Products and Supplies
Clients do not need to buy storage products before a session unless this has already been discussed.
Where possible, DeeCluttered will help make better use of storage already available in the home.
Any additional storage products, labels, baskets, boxes or containers will be discussed before purchase.
Unless otherwise agreed, storage products and supplies are not included in the session price.
20. Pets
Pets are welcome, provided it is safe and practical to work around them.
If a pet is nervous, unsettled, likely to escape or may become aggressive, the client may be asked to keep the pet in another room during the session.
DeeCluttered may pause, reschedule or cancel a session if an animal creates an unsafe working environment.
21. Health and Safety
Clients must provide a safe working environment.
DeeCluttered may pause, reschedule or cancel services if conditions are unsafe, including but not limited to:
- Structural issues
- Hazardous materials
- Pest infestations
- Aggressive animals
- Unsafe lifting conditions
- Unsanitary or hazardous environments
- Unsafe access or parking conditions
DeeCluttered is not required to move items that are too heavy, unsafe or unsuitable to handle.
22. Insurance and Property Care
DeeCluttered holds appropriate insurance, including public liability insurance.
Reasonable care will be taken when working in your home or business space.
DeeCluttered is not responsible for:
- Pre existing damage
- Wear and tear
- Items that are fragile, unstable or already damaged
- Accidental damage unless caused by negligence
- Loss or damage to stored resale items unless caused by negligence
Clients should identify fragile, valuable or sentimental items before work begins.
23. Liability Limitation
To the extent permitted by law:
- DeeCluttered is not liable for indirect or consequential losses
- The client remains responsible for decisions regarding belongings
- DeeCluttered does not guarantee resale success or sale prices
- Total liability is limited to the fees paid for the relevant service
- Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so
24. Photography, Media and AI Images
Photos may be taken for planning, progress tracking, resale listings and service delivery.
Images will not be used publicly for marketing without written consent.
Identifying details will be removed where possible and images will be stored securely.
Where wardrobe resale services are agreed, photographs of items may be used for listings.
AI images may be used where suitable to support presentation or styling, provided they do not misrepresent the item, its condition, brand, size, colour or features.
25. Confidentiality and Data Protection
DeeCluttered treats all client information as confidential and handles personal information in line with UK data protection requirements.
Client data is used for:
- Service delivery
- Communication
- Booking management
- Payment and invoicing
- Legal obligations
Personal information will not be shared unless necessary to provide the service, comply with the law or with the client’s consent.
A separate Privacy Notice is available on the DeeCluttered website.
26. Right to Refuse or Stop Service
DeeCluttered may refuse, pause or stop services if:
- Conditions are unsafe
- The request falls outside the agreed scope
- Behaviour is inappropriate, threatening or abusive
- Payment terms are not met
- The work required is beyond DeeCluttered’s services
- The property or items present an unreasonable risk
Where possible, concerns will be discussed with the client before work is stopped.
27. Force Majeure
DeeCluttered is not responsible for delays or inability to provide services due to events outside reasonable control, including:
- Illness
- Severe weather
- Transport disruption
- Emergencies
- Power failure
- Family emergencies
- Other unforeseen events
Where possible, sessions will be rescheduled.
28. Complaints
